Unemployment in Kazakhstan decreased to 7.3% in year 2007 (7.8% in year 2006)

/REUTERS, Almaty, February 13, 08/ - Level of unemployment in Kazakhstan, by operative data, in year 2007 decreased to 7.3% from economically active population from 7.8% in year 2006, the Statistics agency informed on Wednesday. In economy of Kazakhstan in year 2007 were occupied 7.6 m. people or by 3.1% more than in year 2006. Amount of population in the country as of January 1, 2008 made by operative data 15.556 m. people. From them 8.230 m. (52.9%), villagers - 7.335 m. (47.1%). In January 2008 by estimation, amount of economically active population in age of 15 years and older made 8.1 m. people, is said in the message.
