Prime minister charged to speed up the process of redeeming of Mangistaumunaygas to state privacy

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, January 29, 08/ - Prime minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov charged to speed up the process with redeeming of Mangistaumunaygas to state privacy. "I remind the managers of ministry of energy of Samruk state holding and KazMunayGas that you are delaying the order about redeeming of Mangistaumunyagas, because when we'll redeem Mangistaumunaygas then it will be possible to speak about widening of Pavlodar OPP and also network of petrol stations", - K.Massimov told on the session of government on Tuesday. As it was informed, national oil-gas company KazMunayGas plans to purchase more than 70% of Mangistaumunaygas. In December 2007 KazMunayGas and company Central Asia Petroleum Ltd. Had signed the protocol about intentions of purchasing by national company of oil and gas assets of Mangistaumunaygas. Mangistaumunaygas is one of the largest oil extracting companies in Kazakhstan. It was created in year 1995. Since June 1996 the company received licenses of government of Kazakhstan with 25 years' term for extraction of hydrocarbon raw materials on oil-gas fields Asar, Burmasha, Kalamkas, Zhetybay Vostochniy, on oil fields Alatobe and Karagiye Severnoye, on oil-gas condensate field Oymasha, and in November 1996 - license for extraction of oil on oil-gas condensate field Zhetybay Yuzhniy. As of October 1, 2007 in the privacy of Central Asia Petroleum Ltd (Jakarta, Indonesia) were all common shares of Mangistaumunaygas (99% from total amount of offered shares). [2008-01-29]
