Growth of Kazakhstan industrial production slowed down from 7.0% in 2006 to 4.5% in 2007

/REUTERS, Almaty, January 11, 08/ - Production growth rates in Kazakhstan
slowed down to 4.5% in 2007 from 7.0% a year earlier, Atatistics agency
says.
"Volume of industrial production in current prices in January-December of
2007 equaled to KZT7,703.8 bn., which makes 104.5% relative to the level of
January-December of 2006", is said in a message on the web site at
www.stat.kz.
Oil production remained in 2007 increased by 3.8% to the last year, iron ore
extraction - by 1.5%, and steel rolling decreased by 1.9%, is said in the
message.
