Demir Kazakhstan Bank increased authorized capital by 80%; plans to change its title to Bank Pozitiv till the end of January

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, January 9, 08/ - Authorized capital of
commercial Demir Kazakhstan Bank increased by almost 80% and had
reached about KZT4 bn. (current 120,65/$1), had informed the chairman of
bank's board Emir Deldag on Wednesday to Interfax-Kazakhstan agency.
"On December 28, 2007 in the frames of our business-plan was executed
the deal for increase of authorized capital by 1 billion 765 millions 369
thousands tenge or almost 15 millions dollars", - he said.
"Turkish BankPozitif purchased our again issued common shares for this
amount" - E.Deldag added.
"Before that authorized capital totaled 2 bn. 211 m. tenge",- he told.
As it was informed, in November 2007 Turkish BankPozitif, 57.55% shares
of which belong to Israel Bank Hapoalim Ltd, purchased 100% shares of
Demir Kazakhstan Bank.
In connection to that E.Deldag remind that in the nearest time it is planned
the re-branding of bank.
"It will be Bank Pozitiv, we'll change the official name in the end of January,
and the company of re-branding will be started in the end of first quarter", -
he told.
Mean while, E.Deldag had noted that in this year it is planning the minimally
twice growth of bank's assets. "In the nearest years we are planning to
increase assets more aggressively", - he stressed.
Except this, the head of bank noted that by results of year 2008 it is
expected the change in structure of credit portfolio of organization.
"The stake of retail will be increased to 40%, now is 20%", - he announced,
without specifying the supposed correlation of other segments of crediting.
By data of financial control department director of Demir Kazakhstan Bank
Iskender Maylibayev, according to non-audited financial statement assets of
bank as of end of year 2007 totaled 14 bn. 652 m. 436 th. tenge (as for
beginning of last year - 12 bn. 902 m. 075 th.), total credit portfolio - 5 bn.
194,050 th. (3 bn. 967 m. 106 th. tenge).
"Shareholders capital as of end of year 2007 had reached KZT4,836,995 th.
(KZT1,742,313 th.). Main increase happened mainly due to increase in
authorized capital", - he noted.
Demir Kazakhstan Bank by results of year 2006 had taken 458-th place
among banks of CIS and 20-th place among banks of Kazakhstan by volume
of assets in the ranking Interfax-1000, prepared by Interfax-CEA.
