Kazpost received the status of associated member of VISA

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, December 28, 07/ - Kazpost JSC received the status of associated member of international payment system Visa International. As it is noted in the message of state holding Samruk, spread on Friday, the corresponding decision was accepted by Committee of manages of CEMEA region (Central and Eastern Europe, Near East and Africa) of Visa system. "The acceptance of positive decision was promoted by dynamics of growth of financial and banking services of Kazpost, including usage of plastic cards, and also possibility of their provision all over the country", - the deputy chairman of board of Kazpost Yerserik Siyrbayev had noted, whose words are quoted in the press-release. "Kazpost intends to start the active issue of plastic cards VISA Kazpost JSC in the beginning of year 2008", - is informed in the message. Currently Kazpost together with commercial banks is issuing payment cards of local systems. Kazpost JSC - is national operator of postal connection, 100% shares of which belong to state in face of Kazakhstan holding for state assets management Samruk JSC.
