/IRBIS, December 26, 07/ - National atomic company Kazatomprom JSC (NAC Kazatomprom JSC, Almaty), had spread today the press-release of next contention: Quotation begin Today, on December 26, 2007 in Almaty (Kazakhstan) had taken place the signing of Memorandum about mutual understanding between NAC Kazatomprom JSC and Japanese companies "The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.", "Nuclear Fuel Industries, Ltd" and "Sumitomo Corporation". Sides confirmed the intention about cooperation in the sphere of production of nuclear fuel for atomic reactors of the company "The Kansai Electric Power Co. Inc.". In accordance with signed agreement Ulbinskiy metallurgic plant JSC (daughter organization of Kazatomprom) will produce and supply the components of nuclear fuel for production of fuel assembling on enterprisers of Nuclear Fuel Industries for further supply of them to APP of Kansai company in Japan. Signing of Memorandum is the important step in strengthening of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Japan in the field of atomic energy. For Kazatomprom signing of given document also means the increase of supplies of nuclear fuel to perspective Japanese market.
