National bank of Kazakhstan described the GS market in November 2007

/IRBIS, December 19, 07/ - The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan in its regulative press-release, dedicated to the state of the republic's financial market, cited information about the state of GS market in Kazakhstan in November 2007. Quotation start In November 2007 the Ministry of finance offered 6-, 9- and 12 months' MEKKAM and also 8- and 10-years' long-term MEUKAM for total amount of KZT23.1 bn. Effective yield on offered securities totaled: on short-term MEKKAM - 8.66%, 8.94%, 9.22% correspondingly, on long-term MEUKAM - 10.00% and 10.42% correspondingly. Maturity of GS of Ministry of finance in November 2007 made KZT1.8 bn. As the result, their volume in circulation as of end of November made KZT515.3 bn., having increased compared to previous month by 4.0%. Issue volume of notes of the National bank in November 2007 compared to October 2007 increased by 5.2% and made KZT93.9 bn. Yield of short-term notes increased from 5.61% in October to 5.64% in November. Maturity of notes of National bank considering remuneration payment for November 2007 made KZT99.8 bn. Volume of notes in circulation by the end of November 2007 totaled KZT278.1 bn. having decreased slightly by 0.4% compared to October 2007. In November 2007, the volume of reverse repo made KZT23.6 bn., operations for purchasing of GS of Ministry of finance made KZT1.4 bn.
