/KASE, October 29, 07/ - Company KAZAKHMYS PLC (London), common
shares of which are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE)
category "A" official list had provided KASE with the press-release in which
the following is informed:

Company Kazakhmys PLC (Group) announces that purchasing of 18.8%-ge
stake of participation in Eurasian Natural Resources PLC ("ENRC") was
finished.
After approval of operation by independent shareholders of the group on
October 19 of this year and acceptance of normative approval from the side
of Government of Kazakhstan 18.8% shares of ENRC were purchased
yesterday at the price $806.5 m. which may change a little for consideration
of final spending for financing.
This investment of capital corresponds to long-term strategy of Kazakhmys
for purchasing of stakes of participation in existing regional mineral resource
industries of Central Asia. Purchasing will be considered as investment from
the side of Group and will be financed by existing cash funds.
