/KASE, October 22, 07/ - By the results of stock trades on Kazakhstan stock
exchange (KASE) on October 22, 2007 KASE index decreased by 74.34
points (2.8%) from 2,613.95 to 2,539.61.
The first deal of the day locked in the index value on the level of 2,612.41.
During the trades, minimal value of the index was registered at the level of
2,636.54, and maximal - at 2,537.27.
The volume of deals with shares included in the representative list of the
index made KZT2,326.31 m. (USD19,271.9 th.) on October 22.

The last value of KASE index, stated on KASE on a day is used as the index
value on that day.
We remind that KASE index reflects the change in quotations of shares,
included in its representative list taking into account the capitalization level
of their issuers and the portion of shares that are in free float. At that, the
influence of a price of one denomination share on the index value cannot
exceed 15%. The index is calculated by KASE after conclusion of each deal.
In case of absence of deals with shares of any denomination on the day of
index calculation, the price of the last effective trades with the share of that
denomination is used.
