/IRBIS, October 10, 07/ - The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan in its regulative press-release, dedicated to the state of the republic's financial market, cited information about the state of GS market in Kazakhstan in September 2007. Quotation start In September 2007 the Ministry of finance conducted an offering of 3-month MEKKAM to the total sum of KZT29.5 bn. Effective yield on offered securities totaled 7.21%. At that, maturity of GS in September 2007 made KZT837.2 m. As the result, volume of GS of ministry of finance in circulation as of end of September made KZT478.0 bn., having increased compared to previous moth by 6.5%. Issue volume of notes of the National bank in September 2007 has increased 2.1 times up to KZT112.1 bn. compared to August of 2007. At that, yield of short-term notes decreased from 6.83% in August to 5.50% in September. With it, the "proper" yield curve has been preserved, according to which notes with longer terms of circulation have higher profitability. Repayment of notes of the National bank for the reporting period taking into account interest payments totaled 220.1 bn. Volume of notes in circulation by the end of September 2007 totaled KZT404.4 bn. having decreased by 24.8% compared to August. In September 2007, the volume of reverse repo made KZT204.4 bn.
