/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, September 5, 07/ - Offering of part of
shares from state stake of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Plc
(ENRC) among population is expected in November - December of the
current year, the minister of finance of Kazakhstan, Natalya Korzhova
informed.
"We hope that it will take place in fall, most probably, in November -
December. But I am already afraid to promise any terms because ... not
everything depends on authorities, on government. The fact is that the
placement of government stake on Stock Exchange has to be preceded by a
range of procedural moments, including auditing the company, paper work
that would allow making the sale of these shares on Stock Exchange
transparent and proper with regard of norms. Therefore, we hope we will
prepare, and in about October - November we will start the work of
explaining to population how the government stake of ENRC would be sold
on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange", - she said in the interview to journalists
during the break of round table with the participation of government members
and business representatives, on Wednesday in Astana.
Earlier, Ms. Korzhova named May - June as the possible terms of offering a
part of shares from state stake of ENRC among population.
As it was announced at the end of March, the prime minister ordered ministry
of Finance to prepare 0.8% of ENRC shares for sale to population.
