Akimat of Almaty plans in September to offer the municipal securities for realization the project of creation of lightweight rail transport with cost of 127 m. euro

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, July 31, 07/ - Akimat (administration) of Almaty in September of this year wants to offer the municipal securities with aim of borrowing the financing for realization of project of creation the lightweight rail transport (LRT). "Offering of municipal securities is very important question for us. In September we have to offer municipal securities in order to have the financial source for development of lightweight rail transport", - told the akim (head of administration) Imanagali Tasmagambetov on the se4ssion, dedicated to results of social-economical development of the city in the first half-year. In this connection akim ordered, that all necessary documents and suggestions should be submitted to the government till August 15. Meanwhile, as director of economy and budget planning department Larisa Vasilyeva had informed on the session, all necessary documents and description of the project about LRT till present time are prepared for submitting to government. "Parliament had accepted the law concerning municipal securities. Currently this law have to be realized by acceptance of the resolution where should be described all qualification requirements for decision of the given questions. As soon as this document will be finished, we will immediately go out with our suggestion", - L.Vasilyeva told. By her information, for realization of the project for creation of LRT about 127 m. euro is needed. Earlier the local powers were not allowed to issue the municipal securities for borrowing of financing of investment projects. Questions about borrowing of funds were decided through budget financing in form of transfers. [2007-07-31]
