Bank TuranAlem JSC (Kazakhstan) and Credit Suisse acted as financial advisers of deal for privatization of Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.S. (Turkey)

/KASE, July 6, 07/ - Bank TuranAlem JSC (Almaty), securities of which are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) category "A" official list, had spread the press-release with next contention: quotation begin Bank TuranAlem JSC and bank Credit Suisse acted as advisers of consortium TransCentralAsia Petrochemical Holding Consortium, wining in auction for selling of 51% shares of chemical holding Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.S. and offered for that portfolio 2 bn. 50 m. US dollars. Along with it in role of local consultant on the market is acting Turkish company InterConsult Limited. Auction was conducted by privatization administration of Republic of Turkey. Consortium TransCentralAsia Petrochemical Holding was created with participation of companies Troika Dialog Group (represents interests of Troika Capital Partners in the project), JSC Caspi Neft and Investment Industrial Group Eurasia for realization of investment projects by Russian and Kazakhstan investors on the territory of Turkey. The given consortium, becoming the owner of control shareholding of company Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.S, intends to develop the enterprise all-round, in particular to modernize the having production powers, oil distillation plant, system of energy supply, logistics, and also invest to development of new projects and directors of company's activities. Representatives of consortium are noting the strategic role which Petkim Petrokimya Holding A.S. plays in economy of the region and ascertain the availability of wide perspectives connected to development of this enterprise and Turkish market as a whole. Representatives of Consortium are sure that results of the auction are showing the strengthening of business relations between Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey.
