Building of railway line Shar - Ust-Kamenogorsk finishes in December 2008

/KASE, June 19, 07/ - Press-service of Ministry of transport and communication of Republic of Kazakhstan had spread today the press- release of the next contention: quotation begin One of the first infrastructure projects, realized on the concession basis, had become the building of new railway line Shar - Ust-Kamenogorsk. Works were started on August 27, 2005 after signing of the agreement between ministry of transport and communications of RK and Dosjan temir joly JSC. Summing up the first results, it can be noted that to the end of current year is planned the finishing of main building-assembly works, and during next year will be conducted the balancing and commissioning process. The sector has to be put in commission in December 2008. Attached to Ministry of transport and communication of RK was created the work commission for control over execution of the terms of concession agreement. It makes the check up with visiting the place of building objects of the new railway line. Except this, the every month information about current work is also provided by concessionaire. With objectives of acceleration the terms of realization was developed the double-beam scheme of building. Its essence is in conduction of works from two sides simultaneously, from stations of contiguity of Shar and Novo-Ust- Kamenogorsk to the opposite direction. For today is laid the upper building of lines for 48.7 km. More than 50 organizations are occupied in the building works. Were delivered for laying the stages Shar - Saryzhal, Saryzhal - Shalabay, and also stage Zavidnoye - Molodezhnoye and part of stage Shalabay - Bursak. As a whole the filed was prepared for laying of upper building of lines on 106 kilometers from 150 km. of the main line. For today works are conducting on the rest 44 km. of the line. These are stages Shalabay - Bursak, Yekasha - Zavidnoye, and Molodezhnoye - Novo-Ust- Kamenogorsk. For lying of the upper building of line were given 94 culverts, 2 technological tunnels, 3 overpasses, 12 bridges, 2 droves. On 68 objects are finished works for reconstruction of engineer networks, lines of high-voltage connection. In the full volume is executed the reconstruction of electricity provision lines and connection lines. Were started works for arrangement the longitudinal electricity provision and automatic block system. Two lines of bearing were set on stages Shar - Saryzhal, Saryzhal - Shalabay and Molodezhnaya - Zavidnoye. Were started works for laying of fiber-optic line of connection (FOLC), cable of system of central blocking (SCB) on the stations Shar, Saryzhal, Novo-Ust-Kamenogorsk. As a whole on the building of line were occupied more than 2,000 workers and more than 600 units of road-building equipment. The importing by concessionaire, its contractors and sub-contractors materials and sources used for building are dismissed from value-added tax. Term of exploitation of the field by company-concessionaire is determined for the period of 2009-2028 years.
