/KASE, December 20, 06/ - Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC)
today spread a press release, which says:

Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation announces about signing of an
agreement about borrowing a syndicated fore-export credit in the amount of
$1.0 bn. with the term of 5 years. ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Barclays Capital
and Deutsche Bank AG have been assigned the leading organizers of the
offering.
Credit borrower is the company ENRC Marketing AG, and credit guarantees
are rendered by the company Transnational corporation Kazchrome OJSC.
The credit is provided by export earnings from sale of ferroalloys, produced
by the company Kazchrome and sold a group of foreign buyers by the
company ENRC Marketing. Syndication of 5-year credit is to start in January
2007.
ENRC is the completely integrated Group in the sphere of extraction and
enrichment of minerals with own energy and transport enterprises. In 2005
sales of ENRC exceeded US3 bn., EBIDTA totaled US$1.3 bn.
Primary production assets of ENRC are:
- Kazchrome - the third largest producer of ferroalloys in the world;
- Aluminium Kazakhstan - one of biggest complexes in Kazakhstan on
extraction and composite processing of bauxites to obtain metallurgical
alumina;
- Sokolovsk-Sarbaysk ore mining and processing production association
(SSOMPPA) - one of the biggest concerns on extraction and processing
of iron ore;
- Eurasian energy corporation (EEC) - the largest energy enterprise in
Kazakhstan, which specializes in production of electric energy, coal
extraction, and also repairing and serving energy equipment.
ENRC Marketing is the specialized subdivision of the Group on sale and
marketing of ferroalloys. In future ENRC Marketing will unify functions of
sales and marketing for all production assets of ENRC.
Borrowed funds will be used for financing current activity of the company,
including for investments in basic means and financing the strategic
development plan of the Group.
Commenting on the deal, Dr. Johannes Sittard, the general director of ENRC,
said "We are satisfied with signing of fore-export syndicated credit in the
amount of US1 bn. This event is an important stage in continuing program of
ENRC restructuring and shows reputation growth of the Group as one of
leading world companies in metallurgic and mineral resource fields in
