/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, November 9, 06/ - The net income of Kazakhtelecom JSC in year 2006 will be at the level of the last year stage, it is predicted in Kazakhstan holding for management of state assets Samruk JSC. "Reasonning from these results of activity of Kazakhtelecom JSC (for year 2005 - "IF-K"), we can expect that this year indicators of profitability will be preserved at the same level," the deputy of the chief of Board of Samruk Ulf Wokurka noted at the press conference o Thursday in Astana. "Such a prediction, - he added, - is based also on totals of 9 months of year 2006". According to his data, the net income of Kazakhtelecom JSC by the results of last year made KZT33 bn. 982.3 m. (the current rate 127.89/$1), out of them 17% were directed to payment of dividends to shareholders, or KZT510.06 per one share of the company. Shares of Kazakhtelecom included in listing of KASE under "A" category. According to the press release of Samruk, "the average market cost of one share" of the company by the results of trades on KASE in October of the current year totaled KZT29 th. Kazakhtelecom is the leading operator of connection in Kazakhstan, taking the top position on the domestic market of telecommunications. Shareholders with the share of holding of common shares of Kazakhtelecom JSC as of July 1, 2006 are Samruk (55.6%), BODAM B.V. (16.9%), The Bank of New York (10.2%), Сentral Аsian Industrial Holdings N.V. (9.6%). As it was informed, Kazakhtelecom received within January-September of the current year the net income at KZT24.299 bn., according to international standards of the financial statements, compared to KZT23.877 bn. for the similar period of the previous year.
