/CORRECTED/ Shareholders of ASTEL JSC (Kazakhstan) decided not to pay dividends for year 2005

/KASE, October 20, 06, re-sent because of incorrectly pointed category of official list/ - ASTEL JSC (Almaty, further - company), common shares of which are included into Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) category "B" official listing, provided KASE with the copy of protocol of general meeting of its shareholders, which had taken place on august 1 2006. In accordance with the agenda of the meeting the shareholders of company accepted the following decisions: - to confirm the results of financial-economic activities of the company for year 2005; - not to pay dividends on shares of company for year 2005; - the whole sum of undistributed income of the company in size of KZT261.3 m. left in its disposal with the right on usage in accordance with business-plan stated for year 2006. Company's primary activities - connection services, projecting of telecommunication networks, selling of telecommunication equipment and other types of activities, not forbidden by legislation.
