of shares trades on Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) on October 11,
2006 KASE_Shares index increased by 141.13 points (7.97%) from
1,771.38 to 1,912.52.

In the opinion of IRBIS specialists, the index increased mainly due to the
growth of bid prices for AMGZ, BTAS and KZTC.
It is forth noting that on October 10 Exploration Production KazMunayGas
JSC provided KASE with the extract from registers system of shareholders
as of October 5, 2006, in which results of company's IPO, conducted at the
end of September of current year, were taken into account. Due to this
number of common shares of Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC
(KZ1P51460114, RDGZ), which is used by the exchange at calculation of
KASE_Shares index, was has been increased by 70,220,935 since October
11. This entailed the necessity of introduction of correction factor at
calculation of index in the amount of 3.588913.
Introduction of correction factor was fulfilled by the decision of the Risk
committee of KASE in compliance with the exchange's internal document
"Methods of calculation of stock exchange's indicators", which is available at
