Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC officially announced about trades' opening in common shares on KASE and in GDR on LSE

/KASE, October 5, 06/ - Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC (Astana) which shares are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's category "A" official listing, spread today the press-release in which following is said: Quotation begin Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC (further EP KMG or Company) one of the leading producers of oil in Republic of Kazakhstan, informs that yesterday, on October 4 2006 started the unconditional trades in again issued common shares of company on Kazakhstan stock exchange. EP KMG also announces that global depositary receipts (GDR) of the company were included into Main list of United Kingdom Listing Administration; the unconditional trades in GDR on London stock exchange started today at 8:00 of London time. The global offering consists of 23,086,791 of again issued common shares offered by the Company along with 3,463,019 already existing common shares. Securities are offering in form of (i) global depositary receipts (GDR) fro listing on London stock exchange and (ii) common shares (Shares) which are already in the listing of Kazakhstan stock exchange. To one common share corresponds six GDR. GDR and Shares were offered among international and Kazakhstan investors (Global offering) at the price of global depositary receipt equal to KZT11,163.39 (called together as "Price of global offering"). Based upon the Price of global offering, volume of Global offering without consideration of shares offered with objectives of stabilization totals about 2.0 bn. US dollars (about KZT258 bn.), which supposes market capitalization (without consideration of preferred shares) in size about 6.2 bn. US dollar or KZT784 bn.
