/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, October 3, 06/ - For the first nine months of 2006 volume of shares purchase and sale transactions made on Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), including initial offerings, reached equivalent of $1,146.7 m. (KZT143.6 bn.) and compared to the similar period of last year increased by $528.2 m. (in tenge equivalent 61.0 bn.) or by 1.85 times (in tenge equivalent - 1.74 times). In 2005 volume of shares purchase and sale deals on KASE was the equivalent of USD1,040.5 m. or KZT139,1 bn.
