Beginning from October 1 changes in Listing rules, which are relative to the availability of code of corporate management for listing companies and candidates, will take effect

/KASE, September 1, 06/ - Beginning from October 1, 2006 separate changes #14 in internal document of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) "Listing requirements" will take effect. In accordance with the given changes in the number of listing requirements a requirement was added on availability of code of corporate management, confirmed by issuer's general shareholders' meeting in a prescribed manner, for an issuer - a listing company or candidate in listing companies. The code of corporate management must contain regulations of the Code of corporate management, which was approved by the decision of Council of issuers (minutes of the first meeting of the Council of issuers dated February 21, 2005). The specified changes were inserted by decision of Exchange Council dated July 21, 2005 in compliance with passing the resolution of Board of directors of Agency of Republic of Kazakhstan for regulation and supervision of the financial market and financial organizations "About introducing the additions into Resolution of Board of directors of Agency of Republic of Kazakhstan for regulation and supervision of the financial market and financial organizations dated Mach 15, 2004 # 63 "About requirements to issuers and their securities, admitted (having admitted) to circulation at the stock exchange, and also to separate categories of the list of the stock exchange"" dated March 16, 2005 # 106, to which the effect was given since May 5, 2005. According to item 2 of the mentioned regulation, listing companies must to put their internal documents in compliance with its requirements within the period until October 1, 2006. In connection with the fact, that up to the specified date there is only month, KASE will publish the below-given data on executing the requirements on availability of Code of corporate management by the companies. Correspondingly, since October 1, 2006 absence of the required Code of Corporate management at the listing company can be used as the ground for de-listing of its securities, and its absence at the candidate to join into the list of listing companies can be considered as the ground for refuse of listing of its securities.
