Tariffs on services of APC JSC are increasing in Almaty

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, August 29, 06/ - By state agency of Kazakhstan for natural monopolies regulation (ANMR) were stated the new tariffs on services of Almaty Power Consolidated JSC (APC). Since October 1 2006 "the size of payment for heating for population, who do not have instruments for calculation will increase on 15% and make 28.45 tenge per one square meter with VAT during all year system of payment" - it is informed in the press-release spread on Tuesday by ANMR. Current rate is - 125.23/$1.. "Payment for hot water supply for population will increase by 12.6-12.8% and make 500.23 tenge/person in houses with centralized hot water supply, and by individual instruments of calculating - 140.35 tenge/cubic meter", - it is pointed in the message. Meanwhile "changes in levels of tariffs for electric energy for final consumers of APC JSC will be make after coordination with committee of protection of competition by ministry of industry and trade of republic", - it is informed in the press-release. According to message the main reasons for changes in tariffs are increasing of charges on fuel, on repairing the equipment, thermal and electric networks, increase of prices for metal-roll, subsidiary materials, chemical reagents and increase in level of average wage of workers. In the press-release it is noted that tariffs of APC JSC on regulating services of thermal energy did not change since July 2002, and for electric energy - since January 2000. During examining of tariffs by anti-monopoly department were attracted the independent experts and were held public auditions with invitation of representatives of the state bodies, consumers and their public unions, and also sources of mass media, it is said in the message. As a whole, ANMR confirmed tariffs on services of APC JSC on production of thermal energy in size of 1312.53 tenge/Gcal; on transferring, distribution and supply of thermal energy in size of 627.6 tenge/Gcal, transferring and distribution of energy in size 1.74 tenge per 1 kw/h. APC is the main provider of thermal and electric energy, hot water for consumers of Almaty with population about 1.5 m. people and bordering to the city regiong of Almaty oblast.
