/KASE, April 19, 2024/ – As of April 22, 2024, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) begins calculating and publishing a new KASE money market index – MBM_index (Money and Bond Market index).

MBM_index is a composite index of the money market and the government securities market of the Republic of Kazakhstan (GS) and reflects the dynamics of the reference portfolio with weights of 25 % of the money market (TCI) and 75 % of the total income index (KZGB_DPm1m).

The initial value of MBM_index was fixed at KZT1,000.00 as of April 1, 2024.

The index value will be calculated once a day at 11:30 Astana time and published on KASE's Internet resource in the "Indicators" ("Stock Market") sections – see more and "Indicators" " ("Money Market") – see more or as a separate news.

Corresponding amendments have been made to KASE's internal document "Methodology for calculating money market indicators", which will also come into effect on April 22, 2024.
