In January of 2004 oil extracting company Mangistaumunaigas extracted over 421 th. tons of oil /Kazakhstan today, 13.02.04/ - In January of 2004 Oil-extracting company Mangistaumunaigas OJSC extracted 421 th. 650 tons of oil that was more by 47 th. 650 tons than in similar month of 2002 (374 th. tons of oil). Company's press-service informed about it. Production department (PD) of Kalamkasmunaigas extracted in January of this year 314 th. 650 tons of oil (293 th. tons of oil correspondingly). PD of Zhetibaymunaigas - 107 th. tons of oil (81 th. tons of oil correspondingly). Above-plan indicator in January is 17 th. 100 tons of oil. Main shareholder Mangistaumunaigas OJSC is Indonesian Central Asia Petroleum Ltd. According to results of 2003 the company has extracted about 4 m. 800 th. tons of oil. In 2002 the company extracted 4 m. 400 th. tons of oil. At present Mangistaumunaigas OJSC develops 15 fields, two large of them - Kalamkas and Zhetybay, and also 13 small fields of Zhetybay group and Karagiin saddle. Total oil reserves of fields of Mangistaumunaigas OJSC are equal to 960 m. tons, extracted reserves - over 180 m. tons. [2004-02-13]
