Net-income of EMA enterprises in the first quarter reduced by 48%

/INTERFAX-KASAKHSTAN, Astana, May 2, 06/ - Summary net-income of Kazakhstan enterprises, joining Eurasian manufactory association (EMA), in January-March of 2006 totaled KZT18.6 bn. (at the current rate 124.42/$1). It equals to 52% to the level of the similar period of the last year, informed in the message of PR department of EMA spread on Monday. This year, according to press release, EMA enterprises plan to get net-income at KZT71.1 bn., which is 27% less than in 2005. Besides that, it is noted in the message, that summary income from products (services) sales of the main enterprises and companies of EMA (TNC Kazakhchrom JSC, Mining and processing producing corporation Sokolovsko- Sarbayskoe JSC (SSMPC), Aluminium of Kazakhstan JSC, Eurasian energy corporation JSC, Shubarkol Komir JSC, MPE Zhairemskyi JSC) in the first quarter of this year totaled KZT79.2 bn., which is 10% less than for the similar period of the last year. This year the given indicator is planed at KZT314.3 bn. (2% less than in 2005). The message says, that total investments volume was reduced for the reporting period and was equal to KZT82.9 bn. or 91% of the similar indicator of 2005. At the same time EMA enterprises increased the amount of budget payments and extra-budgetary fund up to KZT16.1 bn. against KZT14.9 bn. in January-March of 2005. "Comparable reducing of financial indicators is explained by dollar rate fall, prices growth for purchased goods, materials and equipments and also sales prices decreasing (especially, goods of SSMP JSC)," - stressed in the press release. Also it is noted in the message that producing indicators of EMA enterprises "had grown, in general." So, in January-March of 2006 TNC Kazahchrom JSC (Aktubinsk and Aksu ferroalloy plants) produced 192.7 th. tons of ferrochrome, that is 10% more than in January-March of 2005, and also 75.1 th. tons of other ferroalloys (growth by 5%, correspondingly). 828.4 th,. tons of chrome ore were mined at Donskoy mining and processing enterprise in reporting period (growth by 2%). In addition to that, manganese concentrate mining was reduced by ore departments of Kazmarganets JSC and Zhairemskyi mining and processing enterprise JSC - 158.1 th. tons, that totals 93% to the indicators of the similar period of 2005. 3738.8 th. tons of raw materials were mined at SSMP JSC and Zhairemskyi mining and processing JSC (growth by 1%), dolomite producing at SSMP JSC totaled 94.2 th. tons (reducing by 5%). Aluminium of Kazakhstan JSC in the first quarter of the current year produced 385 th. tons of alumina, that is 104% to the similar period of the last year. One more establisher of EMA - Eurasian energy corporation JSC produced 3001.4 m. kWh of energy (growth by 15%) and mined together with Shubarkol Komir JSC and Mugoteks JSC 6190.1 th. tons of coal (growth by 5%). As it is reported in the message, at the beginning of April of this year Serovskyi plant of ferroalloys (SPF, Serov city, Sverdlov oblast, Russia) joined to EMA. [2006-05-02]
