Kazakhstan railroad's turnover of goods in January-July grew by 10.6% - head of KTZh

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, August 5, 05/ - Turnover of goods of Kazakhstan railroad in January-July 2005 grew by 10.6% in comparison with similar period of last year, income from main activity - almost by 18%. This was informed by president of the national railroad company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZh) Yerlan Atamkulov on the meeting of advisory council adjusted to national company in Almaty on Friday. However the head of the company did not inform absolute indexes for the mentioned period. Meanwhile, according to the submitted information, in the first half of this year the company transported more than 105 m. tons of loads, out of them within the republic - 60.6 m. tons, for export - 34 m. tons, for import - nearly 7 m. tons, and also more than 4 m. tons of freight in transit. At this by the results of the first half of the year in comparison with similar period of last year there is growth of cargo transportations by inside the republic communications - by 7%, in transit - by 14%, in import - 19%, but in export there is decrease by 4%.
