Almost double funds are spent for reconstruction of Atyrau PR in the I half of the year

/Interfax-Kazakhstan, Atyrau, August 1, 05/ - In the I half of this year by the reconstruction project of Atyrau petroleum refinery (APR, in Atyrau oblast, on the west of Kazakhstan) KZT2.786 bn. (current135.84/$1) instead of planned KZT1.437 bn., or 194% by the plan were spent. This was informed on Monday to Interfax-kazakhstan in APR press service. At the same time, as press services specified, it was fully financed due to borrowings of Exploration Production KazMunaiGas. In connection with overfulfillment of operation plan on plant reconstruction, press service noted, part of works, planned to be fulfilled in 2006, will be completed this year. Thus, press service noted, it is offered to overflow money of 2006 in 2005. APR is one of the oldest plants of the republic. It was built during Great Patriotic war and was designed for processing power nearly 5 m. tons a year. At present the enterprise is completely modernized with the help of Japanese part, which will allow to increase oil processing to 80%. APR is included in national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas. Oil processing volume at APR in January-June 2005 was 1798 th. tons, what exceeds similar last year figure by 37.4%. As it was informed, according to the company's prognosis, in 2005 oil processing volume at APR will be 2.6 m. tons.
