Tengizshevroil says it resumed gas transferring after the damage

/REUTERS, Almaty, Tatyana Seroshtanova, July 5, 05/ - Tengizshevroil has
resumed gas transferring after the damage occurred on week-end, Mariya
Karazhigitova the company's representative said without giving information
about oil production.
One day before the company and Kazakhstan's ESM informed about errors
in electrical system, which caused interruption of oil preparation for pumping
in export pipeline and loss of daily output. Besides, natural gas extraction
was interrupted.
"All sets of gas-transferring plant have been turned on. It's working in usual
mode. The work was resumed right after the damage. The plant was started
yesterday morning", - Karazhigitova said having refused to say whether
works on refining oil meant for export were resumed.
The company extracts about 290,000 barrels a day.
Tengizshevroil develops Tengiz field. 50% in its capital belong to
ChevronTexaco, 25 - ExxonMobil, 20 - Kazmunaygas and 5% - LUKArco
controlled by LUKOIL.
Tengizshevroil says in the first quarter the company extracted 3.5 m. tons of
oil and pumped 4.1 m. tons through CPC's system. The release contains no
data about production in year 2004, however before the company said it
produced 12-13 m. tons of oil every year.
Natural gas sales by Tengizshevroil in the first quarter of 2005 reached
859.33 m. cubic meters.
