TABLE: EIA (Kazakhstan) production output in the first quarter of 2005

/REUTERS, Almaty, Tatyana Seroshtanova, April 11, 05/ - In the first quarter of 2005 enterprises of Eurasian Industrial Association (EIA) operating in Kazakhstan raised the alumina output by 3.0 percent, ore by 8.0 percent, irone ore output by 10.0 percent, electricity by 9.0 precent and coal output by 52.0 percent, the EIA press service reported. Ferroalloys output dipped 5.0 percent relative to Jan-Mar 2004 output. Eurasian industrial Association unites several metals and mining corporates including Aluminum of Kazakhstan JSC, TNK Kazchrome (operates Aktobe and Aksu ferroalloy plants as well as Donskoy ore enrichment plant), Sokolovsko- Sarabyskoye ore enrichment production unit, Eurasian energy corporation (EEC) operating in Pavlodar region, which also includes Shubarkol coal strip mine in Karaganda oblast.
