Bank CenterCredit's net profit surged 1.9 times in 2004

/IRBIS, Ranida Gabdeyeva, February 7, 05/ - Bank CenterCredit JSC (Almaty)
with shares and bonds listed under "A" category of Kazakhstan stock Exchange
(KASE) released a statement revealing the financial results the Bank achieved
in 2004.
Bank's net profits soared 1.9 times to KZT2.4 bn. Interest income rose 1.7
times (largely profits from a loan book) and totaled KZT12.8 bn.
Total CCB's assets increased by 80% during the year and amounted KZT148.5
bn. Loan book grew at 77% to total KZT94.0 bn at year end. Total shareholders
equity rose by 64% to KZT17.6 bn.
Bank CenterCredit JSC is among five largest in Kazakhstan. At Jan 1, 205 the
Bank had 19 regional branches and 97 cash offices throughout Kazakhstan. The
Bank has foreign currency deposit rating 'Ba1' assigned by Moody's Investors
Service and "B+" by Fitch Ratings. According to "The Banker" is the seventh in
the list of fastest growing banks in emerging markets.
