Mangistaumunaigas OJSC produced 2.5 million tones of oil for 6 months of 2004

/IRBIS, July 12, 04/ - Mangistaumunaigas OJSC (MMG) produced 2.5 million tones of oil in the first 6 months of 2004 Kazakhstan today news agency reported quoting press service of the MMG. According to the information in June of 2004 daily production in the branch companies totaled: MMG Kalamkasmunaigas - 10,309 tones; Zhetybaimunaigas - 3717 tones. During the period MMG Oil ServiceCompany LLP resumed operations of 63 oil wells and conducted major repairs of another 265 wells. Kazakhstan today also reported production forecast of the Company for 2004: July 2004 - 450 thousand tones; 2004 - 4,850.0 tones for a total of KZT 76.1 m. At present MMG develops 15 oil fields.
