Mangistaumunaigas Company produced more than 3.5 mn tones of oil from the beginning of the year

/Kazakhstan today,October 28, 03/ - Oil producing Mangistaumunaigas OJSC (MMG) in January-September 2003 extracted more than 3.5 mn tones of oil against 3,421,720 tones of oil for a corresponding period of the previous year. The company informed about this fact the correspondent of KZ-today. The company's representative informed that in September the extraction totaled to 300 th tones within production offices of Kalamkasmunaigas, and 106.5 th tones within Zhetybaimunaigas. Excess of production over plan in production offices of Kalamkasnunaigas and Zhetybaimunaigas totaled to 9 th tones and 10.5 th tones, correspondingly. MMG plans to produce 4.7 m tones of oil in 2003, higher than last year production level by 300 th tones. As of January 1, 2003 more than 160 mn tones of oil was extracted from the mines of the company's fields, residual extractable economically profitable oil deposits equal to 172 mn tones. Company possesses 15 oil and gas fields with total deposits of 969 mn tones (6783 mn barrels). Mangistaumunaigas OJSC provides with 40% of produce in the region and nearly 11% in the republic.
