/Kazakhstan today, 15.09.03/ - Oil extracting company Mangistaumunaigas OJSC in January-August 2003 extracted 3,181.8 th as opposed to 3,028.72 th of tones of oil for a corresponding period of the previous year. The company informed about this fact the correspondent of KZ-today. From the beginning of this year this joint stock company extracted 137.2 th of tones in excess of planned amount in comparison to 105.42 th of tones in excess of planned in previous year for a corresponding period. The rates of extraction are increasing thanks to the usage of well stock with maximum return. Thus, in August 2003, 12 wells, which were idle, started being explored, and from the beginning of the year 69 well are explored. Average daily index in August amounted to 13,515 tones, in comparison to July of the current year increased by 65 tones. At oilfields drilling activity is continuing. Thus, for 8 month 3,908 meters of exploring and 6,745 meters of operational of deepening were holed. The volume of capital and underground repair works at wells was increased. [2003-09-15]
