Samruk-Energy announces completion feasibility study for gasification of Almaty CHP-2

/KASE, September 15, 2021/ – Samruk-Energy JSC (Nur-Sultan, bonds, KASE official list), has provided KASE with the following message dated September 15, 2021: The design institute KazNIPIEnergoprom JSC is completing the detailed feasibility study on to the project "Modernization of Almaty CHP-2 with minimization of environmental impact", and it is planned to obtain a positive conclusion of the RSE "Gosekspertiza" on the feasibility study of the project by the end of 2021. As reported, subsidiaries of Samruk-Energy JSC continue to work on the implementation of investment projects in Almaty and Almaty region in the framework of the execution of the instruction of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N. Nazarbayev, as well as instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, voiced in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan on September 1, 2021. The companies of Samruk-Energy JSC in Almaty, in addition to gasification of CHP-2, are working on the project "Reconstruction of Almaty CHP-3 on the basis of CCGT with an increase in the capacity of the station to 450 MW".
