listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided the following
statement dated October 30, 2020:

The project "Modernization of Almaty CHP-2 with Minimized Environmental Impact",
under which it is planned to convert the main heat and power plant of the southern
city from coal to gas fuel, has passed its next stage. Today, the city of Almaty
hosted public hearings to discuss the environmental impact and consequences of
the plant's upgrade options.
The hearings were held in the format of a video conference with the participation
of representatives of the developers of the feasibility study (FS) - KazNIPIEnergoprom
JSC, Client - AlES JSC and the Green Economy Department of the city of Almaty.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a mandatory procedure stipulated by the
requirements of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other
regulatory acts.
