South-Korean Eximbank has presented credit line to Kazakhstan bank "Caspian" for $2 m.

/Kazakhstan today, April 24, 03/ - South-Korean Eximbank has presented to Kazakhstan bank "Caspian" the credit line for $2 m. for the term of up to 5 years on 5% APR, the bank "Caspian" informed. Bank "Caspian" has become the fourth bank of the republic, which has signed such the credit agreement with Eximbank. The credit line is given for financing long-term operations on import of goods, machines and equipment from South Korea. Presenting of the credit line by Eximbank is an important step in the development of collaboration of Bank Caspian OJSC with South-Korean banks and corporation and also gives evidence about the high level of trust from outside of one of the leading financial institutions of the Republic of Korea, the Kazakhstan bank marks. This year bank "Caspian" has also signed framework agreement with a number of leading banks of Germany about financing German goods supplies with insurance coverage of "Germes" agency. Net profit of bank "Caspian" last year increased more than 2 times as much to KZT678.4 m. Increase of the bank's shareholders' equity was 85% to KZT2. 956 bn., assets - by 93% to KZT29 bn., liabilities - by 94% to KZT26 bn. [2003-04-24]
