Stake of Kazakhstan pension assets investing into instruments, which are nominated in foreign currencies or indexed on devaluation of tenge to US dollar, as of February 1 of 2003

/IRBIS, February 18, 03/ - In accordance with the significant tenge strengthening relative to US dollar at Kazakhstan domestic market in this year, IRBIS agency considered it expedient to publish data on the structure of accumulative pension funds' (APF) portfolios, which characterizes the degree of each APF's assets being invested into instruments, which had been issued in foreign currencies or indexed on changing of tenge's rate relative to US dollar. It will allow to determine the degree of each fund's portfolio's liability to exchange rate risks. The data is given as of February 1 of this year and were presented to the agency by the Financial supervision department of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. The table below shows stakes as percentage of invested assets volume, in parentheses - difference of indicator relative to the condition as of January 1 of 2003.
