In January-November oil producing company Mangistaumunaigas produced more than 4 m tons of oil

/Kazakhstan today, December 9, 02/ - Mangistaumunaigas OJSC (MMG), which develops fields in Mangistau oblast, in January-November of 2002 produced 4 m 222 th. tons of oil, having increased indicator of similar period of last year by 4.7% (182.1 tons). About this a correspondent of KZ-today was informed in the company. In November of this year MMG produced 360 th. tons of oil, thus, November's plan of production has been fulfilled for 108.9%. During November there was produced more by 32 th. tons of oil than it had been planned. Of them, Zhetibaimunaigas produced, besides the plan, 15 th. 500 tons of oil, Kalamkasmunaigas - 16 th. 500 tons. As the company informed, in all departments, services, subsidiary companies, starting since March of 2002, there were conducted organizational and technical measures on preparation for winter. As the result, there has been in full volume conducted revision of reinforcement on pipelines and group sets. Oil containers have been repaired, new reservoirs have been set in exploitation. Major repairs at Kalamkas field has been made for 156.6%, and heat isolation of pipelines have been made on 85 km of pipes, whereas the plan was 45. Major repairs in Zhetibai has been carried out for 125%, and repairs of "sputniks" - for 130%. Last year MMG, the major shareholder of which is Indonesian company Central Asia Petroleum Ltd., produced more than 4 m, tons of oil. For this year the company has planned to produce about 4.4 m tons of oil. Mangistau region is considered as on the of the richest with hydrocarbon raw stuff in the country with oil reserves equaling to 3 bn tons, gas condensate - 1 bn cubic meters, gas - 2.3 trillion cubic meters.
