KazTransOil announces resumption of oil transportation over pipeline Ozen-Zhetybai-Aktau

/KASE, June 5, 2019/ – KazTransOil (Nur-Sultan), whose shares are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following
press release of June 4, 2019:

On June 2, 2019, at 10:14 p.m. (time of Nur-Sultan) the transportation of oil by
Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau main oil pipeline of KazTransOil JSC was stopped at the
result of depressurization of the technological pipeline on the territory of the
"Zhetybai" oil pumping station (Mangystau region). Mangistau Oil Pipeline
Management Department of "KazTransOil' JSC involved 12 units of special
equipment to eliminate the consequences of the incident on the pipeline.
The transportation of oil by Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau main oil pipeline was resumed
on June 4, 2019, at 01:12 a.m. (time of Nur-Sultan). Downtime amounted to 26
hours 58 minutes. The process of elimination of the incident consequences,
removal and utilisation of contaminated soil continues. The damage to the
environment and to "KazTransOil" JSC is being assessed.
The scene of the incident is located far from residential areas, environmental
pollution is localized within the territory of the “Zhetybai” OPS
The causes of the incident are under investigation.
