/KASE, March 7, 2019/ – On March 7, 2019, the Exchange held opening ceremony of
"Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" trades jointly with the UN Women in Kazakhstan,
World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The event is held as part of the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (the
SSE Initiative). KASE joined the SSE Initiative on September 24, 2015.
Well-known Kazakh women, who make their contribution to social and political life
and financial and economic development of the country, participated in the ceremony.
The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of the International Women’s
Day and was meant to emphasize the importance of promoting gender equality,
expanding the rights and economic opportunities for women and raising their role
