Volume of dollar offer from banks' clients continues to grow. Today there was sold more currency by $815 th. than on previous day at KASE. There was active trade not only during the morning session but in the afternoon as well. At the same time, participation of the National Bank at the stock exchange's money market decreased that is the evidence of gradual growth of demand for USD. Number of net-purchasers at the stock exchange has increased two times as much. Money market during the whole day demonstrated extreme price stability. The level of support, which was formed at KZT154.45 for dollar, remained at KASE unchanged. Quotations at the stock exchange's market fell a bit lower. Everything is the evidence of the fact that dollar is not able to grow as yet. There is too much of it. Purchasers feel it and, despite excessive short-term tenge liquidity, do not want to purchase it at higher than 154.45. It is obvious that the market on Monday will remain on the achieved today level and only significant decrease of offer volume can change the conjuncture. [2002-09-13]
