/Kazakhstan today, August 21, 02/ - Mangistaumunaigas OJSC has
produced more than 110 th. tons of oil over the plan within seven months,
informed the company's press service to a correspondent of KZ-today.
According to the company's data, as a whole 2m and 647 th. tons of oil have
been produced within January-July of 2002 against 2m and 534 th. tons
within similar period of last year. Including the fact that oil production in
July equaled to 404 th. tons against 384.4 th. tons within the same period of
last year. In July 16.5 th. tons were produced above the plan. Average daily
oil production in July has risen up to 13 th. ton that is more by 250 tons than
in last year. At this, as it was informed in the company, more than 14 th. tons
of oil remained unrealized.
The major reason, as Mangistaumunaigas believes, is the lack of necessary
capacities on the levels of raw oil refining, warehousing and sending to
consumers. The company takes all possible measures in order to solve the
problem. In the nearest future a new park of oil reserves at Kalamkas field
for collecting of production with capacity of 40 th. tons will be prepared for
setting in exploitation.
At the moment 125 producing wells have been stopped for a while for
conducting of the planned preventive measures.
The oil producing company mines and produces oil at Kalamkas and
Zhetibai fields.
