KAZ Minerals PLC (United Kingdom) comments on recent speculations regarding the Baimskaya copper deposit

/KASE, February 23, 2018/ – KAZ Minerals PLC (London), whose shares are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided the KASE with press release dated February 16, 2018, in which it states: quote KAZ Minerals PLC notes recent speculation regarding the Baimskaya copper deposit. KAZ Minerals continually evaluates potential new mining projects to identify attractive long-term investment opportunities for the Group. KAZ Minerals confirms that it is currently evaluating the potential acquisition of a majority stake in the Baimskaya project. Baimskaya is a large copper-gold porphyry deposit located in the Chukotka region of Russia, with JORC resources of 9.5 Mt of copper at an average copper grade of 0.43% and 16.5 Moz of gold at an average grade of 0.23 g/t.
