KASE SUMS UP MEDIA CONTEST "STOCK MARKET OF KAZAKHSTAN AND NEW FRONTIERS FOR LOCAL COMPANIES"

/KASE, February 15, 2017/ – As was announced earlier, from October 1 to December 30, 2016 Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (the Exchange or KASE) held a contest among media reps "Stock market of Kazakhstan and new frontiers for local companies" (the Contest). The contest was conducted to encourage Kazakhstan journalists and the media to provide extensive coverage of the stock market and enhance financial literacy with improved quantity and quality of releases about the stock market. The winners of the Contest are as follows: 1) Asylbek Abdulov with a TV-project called "New Course" in nomination "The best TV story or best TV program"; 2) Vladimir Buriyanov (newspaper "Aktyubinskiy vestnik") with the article "An alternative to loans" in nomination "The best article printed mass media"; 3) Tatiyana Batisheva with articles "It's better to borrow at home" and "Investors preferred KASE over banks" in nomination "Best material on Internet resources". In addition, KASE rewarded Irina Yarunina (Internet portal LS) – for systematic writing on subjects of the stock market and Yerbolat Mukhamedzhanov (TV- program "The Exchange", Atameken Business Channel) – for a TV-program about the stock market in Kazakh language.
