Mangistau region of Kazakhstan to create multisector economy

/IRBIS, June 27, 01/ - CNA informs that Mangistau region of Kazakhstan developed a regional investment program with the purpose of maximizing the use of income received from oil and gas sector and funds of domestic and foreign investors to establish a multisector economy. The program is to eliminated inconsistency in the regional economy development and create favorable development conditions for the transportation industry. It is said that import substitution program is meant to develop domestic oil producers, and now Mangistaumunaigas, Tengizchevroil, Hurricane Kumkol- Munai and other companies have expressed their desire to work under this program, and they have placed orders for more than $9m with domestic companies for oil equipment.
