Aluminii Kazakhstana increased alumina production by 5% in Jan-Oct 2000

/IRBIS, Nov.22, 00/ - REUTERS informs that Aluminii Kazakhstana OJSC increased alumina production for Jan-Oct 2000 by 5.0% up to 1.002 from 0.945 mln tons for comparable period of the previous year. The increase in production is related with five-year program of technological modernization. It is planned to produce 1.5 mln tons in year 2000. For the same period, bauxite production rose up to 3.119 to 3.043 mln tons. The amount of goods and services sold equaled KZT20.65 bln (KZT14.48 bln). Aluminum sulfate production totaled 39.2 th tons (26.7 th. tons). Aluminii Kazakhstana forms a part of the group controlled by the Eurasian Bank.
