Aliuminii Kazakhstana will increase limestone production up to 1.2 mln tons in 2000

/IRBIS, Nov.3, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to general director of Aliuminii Kazakhstana, Almaz Ibragimov that in 2000 the company intends to increase limestone production up to 1.200 mln tons from 1.152 mln tons last year. By the year 2005 the company plans to produce 1.500 mln tons of limestone, which should be achieved through $60 mln program of technical renovation adopted at the company, is said. By the end of that year 45 various objects are to be built at the company, he added. It is said that in 9 months of this year the production equaled 898.670 tons of limestone (857.000 tons in similar period of last year). The company is the biggest limestone producer in the country, incorporating Pavlodar aluminum plant, mining companies and power facilities. It is a part of companies controlled by the Eurasian bank. The company also produces gallium and aluminum sulfate.
