KEGOC launched compensating reactor

/IRBIS, Oct 12, 00/ - According to the REUTERS, KEGOC launched new
installation - compensating reactor of 180 megawatt capacity.
This reactors is supposed to compensate excessive charging capacity on
transmission line (500 megawatt capacity) Shymkent-Zhambyl.
The launching will provide closed circuit on the Tashkent-Zhambyl-
Shymkent-Bishkek line. It will increase the quality of electricity in this
region.
All work concerning the project were made by KEGOC. The project was
financed by World Bank and EBRD.
