KEGOK OJSC bonds of the first issue will be floated during next 73 days

/IRBIS, Aug. 7, 00/ - As it had been informed before, by the decision of KASE
Exchange Council dated June 23, 2000 discount bonds of KEGOC OJSC
(Astana) of the first issue (KZ73LAIVAA09, trade code of KASE - KEGCb)
was included into official list of KASE securities, category "A".
Issue conditions stipulated that floatation will be started on Aug. 1, 2000.
Floatation period - 80 days. Circulation period - 91 days from the beginning
of floatation. Bonds circulation will be finished 5 business days before
redemption. KEGOK OJSC did not introduce its bonds on the market yet.
Today KEGOK informed KASE that the company presently has substantial
funds and plans to float securities later than on stated period. This
decision does not contradict with conditions of bonds floatation, which
stipulated that company could float bonds during 80 days after Aug. 1.
Additional information will be given in that case.
KEGOK has registered emission of bonds to attract circulating assets for
reconstruction of power grid net and electric stations.
Face value of bond is $100.00, planned emission volume is $2.5 mln at the
exchange rate set by National Bank of Kazakhstan on the day of money
transfer for redemption and payment purpose.
