Oil production of Mangistaumunaigas rose up to 1.313 mln tons in January-April of 2000

/IRBIS, May 18, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to statistical data of the government, that one of the biggest oil producing JSC of Kazakhstan, Mangistaumunaigas (JSC MMG) extracted 1.313 mln tons of oil in January-April of the year 2000 compared with 1.265 mln tons of the similar period of last year. The information was prepared for the trip of prime-minister Kasymjomart Tokaev to Mangistau region in last week. REUTERS has the information that presently JSC MMG has 36 oil and gas deposit sites, of which 15 are under development. It is said that the sites with the biggest reserves are Kalamkas and Jutybai with 128.9 mln tons of extractable reserves of oil. These two sites are said to account for 88.8% of all extractable reserves of Mangistaumunaigas. The production of casing head gas at JSC MMG increased to 42.1 mln cubic meters in January-April of the year 2000 compared with 40.7 of similar period of last year. As of January 1, 2000 accounts receivable increased to KZT30,254.7 mln from KZT16,079.9 mln as of January 1, 1999. Accounts payable is said to decrease to KZT14,014.3 mln as of January 1, 2000 from KZT17,579.2 mln as of January 1, 1999, informs the agency. The government of Kazakhstan and Central Asia Petroleum Ltd. signed a protocol on completing the purchase and sale of 60% shares of JSC Mangistaumunaigas in May of 1998 by the results of the tender. Now NOC Kazakhoil owns 30% of shares, and 10% belongs to the employees of the company.
